The Governance Committee is seeking nominations for the 2024 election cycle of the AMCHP Board of Directors.
As a board director, you would help shape AMCHP’s policies and positions, represent your Title V peers from across the country, ensure the organization’s future viability and financial stability, work directly with federal and community partners, and gain leadership experience in a national association.
Election and Terms
Each Regional Director, Director-At-Large, and Family Representative shall serve for a term that begins immediately following the close of the annual membership meeting or run-off election at which they were elected and ends at the close of the third (3rd) annual membership meeting or run-off election following their election.
Regional Directors, Directors-At-Large, and Family Representatives may serve for up to two (2) consecutive terms and may be elected for additional terms after a one-year absence from service on the Board of Directors.
Vacancies
The following upcoming vacancies are now open for nominations as of April 26, 2024, for elections to be held in late May 2024. Nominations will remain open from April 26 through May 17, 2024, unless further notice is provided.

- Region III [DC, DE, MD, PA, VA, WV]
Determine policies, procedures, and regulations for the conduct of AMCHP; ensure the necessary resources, both financial and other, for the operation of AMCHP and its programs; monitor organization performance; and represent the interests and needs of MCH programs in your region.
We are actively seeking nominations from your region to fill this vacancy. Only current delegates from Region III are eligible for this position. This is a full-term regional director position (May 2024—the close of the 2027 AMCHP Conference). If interested, elected candidates will be eligible for up to one (1) additional full-term election.
- Region IV [AL, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, SC, TN]
Determine policies, procedures, and regulations for the conduct of AMCHP; ensure the necessary resources, both financial and other, for the operation of AMCHP and its programs; monitor organization performance; and represent the interests and needs of maternal and child health (MCH) programs in your region.
We are actively seeking nominations from your region to fill this vacancy. Only current delegates from Region IV are eligible for this position. This is a full-term regional director position (May 2024—the close of the 2027 AMCHP Conference). If interested, elected candidates will be eligible for up to one (1) additional full-term election.
- Region VIII [CO, MT, ND, SD, UT, WY]
Determine policies, procedures, and regulations for the conduct of AMCHP; ensure the necessary resources, both financial and other, for the operation of AMCHP and its programs; monitor organization performance; and represent the interests and needs of MCH programs in your region.
We are actively seeking nominations from your region to fill this vacancy. Only current delegates from Region VIII are eligible for this position. This is a full-term regional director position (May 2024 – the close of the 2027 AMCHP Conference). If interested, elected candidates will be eligible for up to one (1) additional full-term election.
- Director-At-Large
We are actively seeking nominations from ALL regions to fill this vacancy. Only current delegates are eligible for this position. This is a full-term director-at-large position (April 2024—the close of the 2027 AMCHP Conference). If interested, elected candidates will be eligible for up to one (1) additional full-term election.
This call for nomination looks to fill one (1) vacancy for this position.
- Family Representative
Determine policies, procedures, and regulations for the conduct of AMCHP; ensure the necessary resources, both financial and other, for the operation of AMCHP and its programs; monitor organization performance; and represent the interests and needs of families as they relate to MCH programs across the country; support/increase family leadership capacity and family involvement at all levels within AMCHP.
We are currently actively seeking nominations from ALL regions to fill this vacancy. Only current AMCHP delegates or regular members who are liaisons to a Title V program from any jurisdiction, state, or territory are eligible for this position. This is a full-term family representative position (May 2024 – the close of the 2027 AMCHP Conference). Elected candidates will be eligible for up to one (1) additional full-term election if interested.
This call for nomination looks to fill one (1) vacancy for this position.
About the Process
This process will remain open through May 17, 2024, unless further notice is provided. Once a candidate(s) is/are identified, the AMCHP Governance Committee will subsequently conduct telephone interviews with candidates, and the AMCHP full voting membership will vote through a virtual election process.

Please include the nominee’s name, title, agency or affiliation, address, phone, fax, and e-mail. Nominees must be AMCHP Delegates (as designated by their Title V MCH program member and CSHCN program member) whose membership is in good standing. To verify membership status, please consult your state, territory, or jurisdictional delegation office or contact Nikeisha Ogletree, Chief Operating Officer, at nogletree@amchp.org. Please obtain permission from nominees before submitting their names. All nominations are due by May 17, 2024, unless further notice is provided.
